Overview

The Executive Vice President - Service is a key enterprise leader responsible for the overall strategy, performance, and operational excellence of all service-related business units across FSG. The EVP will oversee a national network of service operations and drive continuous improvement, innovation, and value creation. This role is critical to aligning FSG’s service offerings with customer expectations, operational standards, and company growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all FSG Service verticals, ensuring consistency in operational execution, financial performance, and customer experience
  • Develop and implement national strategies, standards, and best practices for Service delivery, technician performance, dispatch, and customer support
  • Partner with branch and enterprise leadership to ensure compliance with operational KPIs, safety protocols, and margin targets
  • Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to enterprise-level strategy and interdepartmental collaboration
  • Drive accountability and performance through data-driven insights, dashboards, and field engagement
  • Champion workforce development initiatives including technician training, safety, and career pathing
  • Oversee the implementation and adoption of service technology platforms and tools across all service regions
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of service capabilities in new and existing markets
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and customer focus

Key Performance Metrics

  • Service Gross Margin - Ensure profitability and sustainable growth of the Services organization
  • Technician Utilization and Efficiency - Monitor and improve field resource deployment and productivity
  • Customer Satisfaction and Retention - Drive consistent, high-quality customer experiences across all markets
  • On-Time Service Delivery - Ensure timely execution of all scheduled service work orders

Internal Relationships and Handoffs

  • Reports to: Chief Operating Officer, Services
  • Dallas-based, working out of the National Accounts (NAC) office; primary day-to-day focus on NAC operations, with an enterprise-wide mindset and oversight across all Service business units
  • Work closely with: Enterprise and Branch Operations Leaders, Finance and Analytics teams, Technology and Product Teams, HR and Safety Departments

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in service operations, preferably within electrical, HVAC, or building systems industries
  • Proven track record of managing large, geographically distributed teams
  • Deep understanding of operational KPIs, service metrics, and financial drivers
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactical initiatives
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Experience with enterprise service software platforms (e.g., ERP, Service Lab, dispatch, mobile field service apps)
  • Experience managing a $200M+ book of business in electrical service a plus
  • Proven change management leader and promoter of a unified enterprise culture
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced business degree preferred
