Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Specialist to ensure that all prefabricated components leaving our shop meet the highest standards of accuracy, consistency, and build readiness. This role is dedicated to validating that assemblies are fabricated exactly to specification, protecting downstream installation, field performance, and project success.

Responsibilities

Quality Control & Inspection

● Perform comprehensive inspections of prefabricated assemblies to verify conformance with approved drawings, measurement tolerances, and installation requirements.
● Confirm that materials, dimensions, and assembly methods align with current standards and documented specifications.
● Identify discrepancies, defects, or variances and ensure corrective actions are clearlycommunicated and completed.
● Serve as the final gatekeeper of accuracy, approving or rejecting assemblies before shipment or installation.

● Maintain a clean chain-of-custody for QC data, including inspection logs, dimensional reports, and non-conformance documentation.

 

Standards, Processes & Documentation
● Develop and maintain QC checklists, measurement standards, inspection templates, and repeatable quality workflows.
● Ensure that all shop teams understand and follow established quality procedures.
● Update QC criteria as standards evolve, ensuring consistency across all product lines and prefab categories.
● Maintain organized and accessible QC records that support traceability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

 

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
● Partner with engineering, detailing, and shop teams to resolve issues that arise during fabrication.
● Provide structured, fact-driven feedback to improve drawings, work instructions, and fabrication methods.
● Participate in root cause analyses for recurring issues and help implement permanent preventative measures.
● Support the development of systems that enhance accuracy, reduce rework, and improve overall shop efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience with BIM and technical drawings (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar) for inspection reference—training provided.
  • Strong background in quality control, inspection, or fabrication verification.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical drawings with accuracy and confidence.
  • Knowledge of prefab construction methods, materials, and shop-level assembly processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain structured, reliable documentation.
  • Effective communicator—able to give clear, objective, and constructive feedback across teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Extensive knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the organization's products and production processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison across departments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with basic software such was google suite and microsoft office products
  • Presently have your Osha 10 or Osha 30, or be able to obtain it within 90 days (Training provided by FSG) status.
  • Experience with creating engineering drawings and schematic

  • Journeyman Electrical License

Pay Range

USD $31.00 - USD $34.00 /Yr.
