expanding its team and seeking a Safety & Risk Coordinator to join the Propel Safety Team.

 

As a Safety & Risk Coordinator, you will play a dual role in advancing workplace safety and supporting workforce development. You are responsible for identifying and controlling at-risk behaviors or conditions stemming from human error, equipment, or environmental factors that may lead to injury or property damage. This includes investigating incidents, conducting site safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies, and delivering safety training to employees and supervisors.

 

In addition to your safety coordination responsibilities, you will serve as the Program Manager for the Propel Apprenticeship Program, providing leadership and oversight for its day-to-day operations and long-term success. This includes managing student enrollment processes, coordinating instructor assignments, tracking industry-recognized certifications (e.g., NCCER, NC3), and ensuring full compliance with state and institutional education standards. You will work closely with instructors to monitor student progress, identify support needs, and implement timely academic or behavioral interventions. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, upholding instructional quality, and ensuring all credentialing requirements are met in a timely and compliant manner. Your leadership will be critical in building a skilled, safety-conscious workforce that supports FSG’s field operations and fulfills Propel’s mission of delivering industry-relevant, high-impact career training.

Responsibilities

Safety & Risk Coordination

  • Travel throughout assigned territories to conduct job site inspections for OSHA and company policy compliance.
  • Investigate reported or potential incidents involving injury or property damage.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality safety compliance training.
  • Promote adherence to safe work practices across construction, service, and data teams.
  • Manage documentation, including PTPs, audits, toolbox talks, signage, and safety inspections—ensuring all records are uploaded timely.
  • Oversee fleet services and assigned safety equipment administration.
  • Serve as a communication liaison between job sites and leadership, presenting to large and small groups as needed.
  • Support Safety Services Representatives (SSRs) and report directly to the assigned Safety Manager.

Apprenticeship Program Manager (Propel Career Academy)

  • Credentialing & Compliance Oversight: Manage credentialing for NCCER, NC3, Mike Holt, and Tom Henry programs. Ensure student completion, retesting, and performance profile submissions meet certification and audit requirements.
  • Instructor Support & Coordination: Lead instructor meetings to address schedules, instructional challenges, and professional development. Oversee classroom management and instructor documentation.
  • Student Support & Monitoring: Track student progress and intervene with those on academic warning or probation. Partner with instructors and advisors to implement success strategies.
  • Data & Records Management: Ensure accuracy and compliance within the Enrollment Management System (EMS) and Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Training Participation: Attend required certification programs (e.g., NCCER ICTP, NC3) to stay current on credentialing practices.
  • Internal Communication: Actively engage in weekly team meetings to support operational planning, training updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 3-5 years electrical construction or related experience
  • 1 year in construction safety type role, SSR or similar
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • OSHA 30
  • Strongly prefer current journeyman's license or electrical apprentice license
  • Must posses valid drivers license
  • Must possess strong communication and written skills
  • Must possess technical aptitude
