We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Entry Level Accounts Receivable (AR) Collection Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing and executing collection efforts across multiple business lines, ensuring accurate reporting of bad debt exposure, and maintaining strong communication with internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in AR collections, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with leadership to minimize financial risk.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date AR collection codes and notes to provide real-time insight into bad debt exposure.
• Manage collection efforts for both Distribution and Service business lines, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances.
• Provide support for Construction AR, working closely with Project Managers and Department Leaders on accounts aged 120+ days.
• Proactively identify and recommend accounts for the Lien process during recurring AR meetings with local VPs and Department Leaders.
• Communicate and recommend potential bad debt write-offs and permanent bad debt invoices/accounts for leadership approval.
• Administer and escalate overdue accounts to Collection Agencies or process write-offs as necessary.
• Continuously assess customer bad debt risk, recommending changes to a customer’s sell status when necessary to mitigate financial exposure.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to specialized programs and systems specific to the role.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all responsibilities.
• A team-oriented mindset with a proactive and supportive attitude toward colleagues, managers, and local VPs at all levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with employees, managers, and customers.
